Insanity would be putting it lightly
I'm 27 years-old and most of my friends are my age or younger. While I sit at home this Saturday digging through 10-Q's and 8-K's looking for the next undervalued asset, many of my contemporaries are "occupying" Wall Street . They are protesting against what they believe is a corrupt banking system that has led us into near financial ruin and left the country with 9% unemployment, while the CEO's of these banks walked away millionaires. Anyone who can't understand the frustration of these people is just being an asshole. But while I understand, I can't support OWS. The message is unclear, the goals are not definable and the tactics being used cannot be effective in the long run. Yes, they've brought media attention to their cause, but the second unemployment starts to drift back down towards the 7% range (which I think happens by next X-mas), the masses and lame-stream media will lose interest in their "occupation." The "people" will be sipping the Kool-aid once again, playing sheep in a broken system just waiting to be sent back into depression, after depression, until we're a third-world country abandoned by the rich and powerful that got us into the mess to begin with. Great. I'm glad you want to do something. Much of the system should be overhauled and certain regulations put in place, no question. But class warfare is just populous thinking. Taxing success is the wrong message to send to any population. Their is a proper balance that needs to be struck and the OWSer's want to take it to far. But, once again, can you blame them? Had these greedy fuck-tards not abused the shit out of the corrupt system put in place over 30+ years ago this wouldn't be happening. The government is the one to blame. Democrats and Republicans. The banks are just scapegoats and tools that have been used by our Federal Reserve. OWSer's are misdirecting their anger. If they really want to change the system, they should focus thier attention on Washington, not Wall Street.

Here's China's response to 'Trade' bill
Official Statement form China

Isn't that crazy? Kidding...jump past the break for the translation. |

Bill O'Reilly Interview on The Daily Show
I've had to watch this interview 3 times because I cause I keep missing half of it over the sound of my own laughter. These two play off each other brilliantly. Watch both parts because they each make some really good points. Check it out after the jump.

Robots That Sing Disney Tunes, Really?
Solyndra. Oh, Solyndra. I'd love to relish in this disaster of a story but it's just so depressing. This type of backdoor bullshit is what's wrong with Washington, and "our savior" Saint Obama, who was supposed to be different, fell right in line with his predecessors. In summary, the government, in a push to be "green", backed a $535 million loan to Solyndra, a solar start-up. They would have just given the money directly to Solyndra but as you may know the country is broke so we cosigned on their loan instead. What happened? They went belly-up of course, and guess who's stuck with bill! I go into how the main culprits in this scandal are our President, his "people", and Goldman Sachs in this post which is a must-read. Jon Stewart also does a brilliant piece on the scandal. Now we've learned some new details about their $733M mega-factory. Bloomberg News reports:
It wasn’t just any factory. When it was completed at an estimated cost of $733 million, including proceeds from a $535 million U.S. loan guarantee, it covered 300,000 square feet, the equivalent of five football fields. It had robots that whistled Disney tunes, spa-like showers with liquid-crystal displays of the water temperature, and glass-walled conference rooms.

John Stewart Mainstream's Solyndra
^John Stewart being brilliant as usual^ In my prediction this scandal will be Obama's undoing. Someone should let John know that the "usual suspect" is involved as well. Yeah, you guessed it, Goldman Sachs. Don't believe me? Head past the break for the proof.

Jean Fraud Trichet
If this idiot had been the head of our bank in 2007, America would resemble 1960's communist Russia right now. He needs to lower interest rates to zero and guarantee the big banks wont fail Ala Lehman Brothers, exactly what our fed chief did. Instead he loses his cool over a question about deutchmarks. Are you kidding me?
Yeah Ok....I guess
He's a brilliant orator, that's for sure. He basically announced more stimulus without saying the word stimulus. Futures were up during the speech then fell immediately after. I make nothing of the speech. Lower Taxes. OK. Infrastructure building. OK. Whatever. The real question is are you ready for some Football!!!!!!

Halleluja!
Finally we may be seeing the end of HFT (High-Frequency Trading)! Reuters is reporting, in an "unprecedented move" (I feel like I've been using that term alot recently), that FINRA has requested the trading strategies, and in some cases computer codes, from high-frequency trading firms. This could be the fatal blow that finally takes this "weapon of mass destruction"away from the crooks using it. I'll let Tyler Durden over at Zero Hedge give you the rub:
"As everyone knows, the only thing of value within the sub-penny scalping HFT universe are the odd nuances in computer code. Which is why its supreme and undisputed secrecy is sacrosanct. As soon as anyone, especially a regulator, has a whiff of understanding how any given algorithm works, it becomes the equivalent of collapsing the wave function: observing the HFT theft-scalping duality in action eliminates the Schrodinger equation associated with any simplistic algo and collapses its "wave function" to a worthless series of ones and zeros. Said otherwise, this is the end for HFT."
